Name: Christ the True Friend or Christ and Abbot Mina.
Written: 7th-8th century.
Found: St. Apollo Monastery; Bawit, Egypt.
Now: The Louvre Museum; Paris, France.
Material: Wood. It originally measures about 57x57cm and is 2cm thick.
Description: The Coptic icon presents Christ as our friend. Holding the book of the Gospels, Jesus rests His arm on the shoulder of Saint Mina, a Coptic ascetic and martyr of the third century.
